This Privacy Policy explains how Geeklane OneGift (“OneGift”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and discloses your information when you browse our catalogue, submit a bulk/corporate gifting enquiry, create an account, or use our AI shopping assistant at onegift.geeklane.in (the “Site”). OneGift is operated by GEEKERA GURUJI ECOM LLP (GSTIN 07ABAFG9901B1ZS), the same company behind Geeklane.in, though OneGift is a separate bulk/corporate gifting platform with its own catalogue and its own enquiry-based process — this policy covers OneGift only.

What information we collect
We collect information in three ways:
Information you give us directly
- Account details — your name and phone number when you sign in. We use WhatsApp OTP to verify your phone number; we don’t ask you to set or store a password.
- Enquiry details — when you submit a bulk-gifting enquiry, we collect your name, phone number, email, company name, and delivery city, along with the products and quantities you’ve shortlisted.
- Conversations with our shopping assistant — if you chat with our AI shopping assistant, we store the conversation (including any preferences you share, like budget or occasion) so our team can see the context behind an enquiry and so the assistant can pick up an existing conversation.
- Feedback — anything you submit through “Share Feedback” or “Request a Feature,” along with your name/phone if you were signed in at the time.
Information collected automatically
We assign an anonymous session identifier when you visit the Site (stored in your browser) so we can keep your shortlist and recognise repeat visits without requiring an account. We log basic usage events — pages viewed, products viewed, searches, items shortlisted or wishlisted, and similar interactions — tied to that session identifier, to understand what buyers are looking for and to fix problems. This is standard product analytics, not third-party ad tracking.
Information from third parties
Our infrastructure providers (database hosting, our web host, and our WhatsApp messaging provider for OTP verification) process information on our behalf to help us run the Site. We don’t buy contact lists or obtain your information from anyone other than you and these service providers.
How we use your information
- To respond to your bulk-gifting enquiry and get back to you with pricing and availability.
- To maintain your account, shortlist, and order history if you’re signed in.
- To power the shopping assistant’s conversation and recommendations.
- To understand how buyers use the catalogue, so we can improve it.
- To detect and prevent abuse (for example, rate-limiting automated or excessive requests).
- To comply with legal obligations, including GST invoicing for confirmed orders.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising or ad targeting.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and browser storage for functional purposes only: keeping you signed in, remembering your session identifier, and storing your shortlist/wishlist on your device until you sign in (at which point it’s merged into your account). We don’t use third-party advertising cookies.
How we share your information
We share information only where it’s necessary to run the Site and fulfil an order:
- With our database, hosting, and WhatsApp-messaging providers, solely to provide their service to us.
- Within Geeklane’s own team, to process your enquiry and coordinate fulfilment.
- Where required by law — for example, in response to a valid legal request.
We don’t sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing.
Data retention and security
We keep enquiry and account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to meet our legal and accounting obligations (including GST record-keeping requirements). No online system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information, including access controls on our database and encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the Site.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to tell you what we’ve collected, by contacting us using the details below. We’ll respond within a reasonable time. Deleting your account doesn’t affect enquiry/order records we’re legally required to keep for accounting purposes.
Children’s data
OneGift is a business-to-business platform for procurement, HR, and event buyers. It isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above when we do. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
